Fairy Semi-Permanent Conditioning Colour
This beautiful blueish-green dye will have you looking like a mythical fairy. It is one of the most long-lasting dyes in our collection and fades true to colour. Fairy will leave a subtle tint of green on darker levels of hair but it looks most vibrant on pre-lightened level 8 hair (refer to listing images).

have been wanting to darken my brassy ass hair for a long time now and been spending my moolahs on box dyes but it didn’t work at all. my hair is of dark green and seafoam blue/green on my highlights. SO PRETTY and it smells freaking nice!! BYE GONNA BUY MORE
Giving my honest review after 1.5 months of using Qwerky!
I've been using different brands of semi-permanent dyes, and I have to say the colour payoff for Qwerky is really impressive. I used Fairy (blended with Smoke) 1:3 parts on my Level 8/9 hair as I wanted some dimension, and it came out more as a turquoise blue with some streaks of green peeking through. First impressions were that my hair texture was silky to the touch and looked iridescent under sunlight.
I wash my hair everyday as I am prone to getting greasy hair by the end of the day, and the vibrant colour stayed on for at least 14 washes for me before fading to a more muted/pastel tone. The green started to show up more at this point. I'd def try using it on its own in the future so see how green it gets.
Overall, I love the size of the tub (at 200ml, you have more than enough for chest length hair), it was easy to apply, smelt great and colour payoff + retention was satisfying. Would recommend for home dye!
The application of the hair dye was fairly easy (as a person who has never dyed their hair on their own)! Smells really good. Used about half the tub or less for one side of my head.
The colour didn’t take as long to wash out as Barbie did.
The dye didn’t bleed through the washes as much as Barbie did and faded much faster than Barbie (can’t really say they have the same amount of wash lifetime). It did leave my hair dry after every wash like Barbie did.
(FYI I have a very oily scalp and my hair tends to be oily real fast but the dye left my hair dry after every wash until days later)
Colour payoff was not as strong as Barbie. Looked blueish at first! I had a round of bleach in my hair prior to using this dye. Been washing it pretty often and the colour fades really fast. It’s a greyish green at the moment of writing this review, with slightly more vibrant hues towards the bottom/underneath
Overall, this shade wasn’t how I expected it to turn out. It was more blue than green (shown in the listing) and it was not as hydrating as claimed. But I’d like more transparency on the product itself as I’m applying on my skin/scalp. IMO when a product has too much of a nice scent, it isn’t really a good sign. Wouldn’t say that this shade has the same number of washes as Barbie.
Things I’d like to see improved on:
- Fact checking whether it truly is plant-based as claimed
- Transparency on the source of the dyes (not just stating that it’s manufactured in China)
- Is it cruelty-free? Has animal testing been done on it?
- Does the product conform to the regulatory and labelling requirements of HSA (Health Sciences Authority)?
I’ve used a lot of hair dyes in the past year and I’ve had bleached hair for a while already and have been hoping to dye my hair a brighter colour but I could never find one that’s as pigmented as this!
really love how the colour came out 😍😍 my hair feels so smooth after dyeing 🥺🥺🥺 100% recommend.
