Bruise is a dark greyish shade with a dusty blueish tint. It is ultra-wearable, perfect for those who want an understated hair colour. After some washes, the blue tint will fade off, leaving a matte grey look that fades to silver over time. Bruise It only works on pre-lightened level 7 hair or lighter (refer to listing images). The colour turns out the best when it's applied to non-brassy hair. If you are starting off with a yellowish blonde base, try toning it with diluted Iris or Smoke to remove the yellow hues before going in with Bruise. Bruise will look like a muted blueish purple on level 9 and 10 hair.

Lasting Power: 30 - 45 washes

Things to Note: Do avoid the skin when applying the hair dyes as it will cause staining. The colour will also bleed when your hair is wet, especially for the first few washes so do dry your hair after showering and use dark coloured clothes and towels. The colour bleeding will slow down as the dye fades off.

#QwerkyTIP: Dilute the shade with conditioner to get a dreamy pastel grey shade. Always do a strand test before colouring your whole head.

How To Use?

STEP BY STEP:
1: PREP
Bleach your hair to achieve the most vibrant results. Make sure your hair is clean and dry before moving on to the next steps

2: SECTION
Divide hair into 4 sections & secure with alligator claw clips.

3: DYE
Take smaller sections of hair & apply the dyes generously with a brush or with your hands (while wearing gloves)

4: DEVELOPMENT TIME
Wait 30-60 minutes

6: RINSE
Rinse with lukewarm water and dry your hair with a dark coloured towel. Dry your hair and see the full vibrancy of your new hair colour

The final shade can be influenced by many factors including: current colour, condition, porosity, length and thickness of hair as well as any previous treatments. Please contact us before purchasing so we can better advise.

It is normal for the colour to bleed especially in the first few washes. Staining may also occur on skin and surfaces. Do use dark coloured towels and wear dark coloured clothes when stepping out of the shower.

Our dyes look best on bleached and toned hair.

You should carry out a skin sensitivity test 48 hours before using this product to check you are not allergic to it.

You should also do a strand test to check how your hair will look after using our dyes. Do not dye your hair if you don't like how your strand test looks or feels.

FAQ

Do your dyes work on unbleached hair?

Some do! Riot and Barbie appears as a dark red or pink hue on unbleached hair! We are working on developing more shades that show up on unbleached hair so do stay tuned!

How long do Qwerky Colour dyes last?

Our dyes have different amounts of lasting power but generally it lasts between 1-3 months. Do refer to the descriptions in the individual product listings for more information.

How many tubs do I need?

It depends on your hair length and thickness, but generally 1 tub (200ml) is sufficient to cover shoulder length hair. Do check out our hair length chart for more information 😊

Will Qwerky Colour damage my hair?

Nope! Our dyes are non-damaging and do not contain any harsh chemicals that dry out your hair.

When do Qwerky Colour products expire?
Do check the bottom of the tubs for the expiry date of the dyes. They can be kept up till expiry date if stored in a cool and dry place, away from sunlight.

Solid colours

Before this came about, i used LA Directions and Arctic Fox. They started out great but gotten very diluted over the years, lasting only 4-6 washes !

Now, with Qwerky, im so glad i can get and supoort a local brand that stays true to their word, colour that is close and lasts for quite a while! Really worth every dollar!

Goinig from Brown to Bruise in one wash

This review will be based on my experience with Brown unbleached hair.
I have been a fan of qwerky and fun colours however it is damaging to my scale when I bleached my hair multiple times previously therefore I am so glad qwerky colour came up with hair conditioning dye which allows me to experience these colours without damaging my hair as much as before.

For unbleached hair, the colour wash surprisingly showing. And over the course of a week, the colour faded to be even prettier and showing than first wash. I think that this product is suitable for anyone who is keen in experiencing with qwerky colours without the worry of damaging your hair !!

Covered up my yellowish big pudding hair

Wonderful product! Delivered after 2days since ordered.
I previous had bright highlights and brown hair.
Was worried would turn turquoise like all other blue dye.
