Smoke Semi-Permanent Conditioning Colour

Smoke is a fashionable matte grey colour with a slight purple tint that looks amazing on everyone. Smoke only works on pre-lightened level 7 hair or lighter (refer to listing images). On level 5 and 6 hair, it would turn your hair into a dark brown shade instead of grey.

The colour turns out the best when it's applied to non-brassy hair. If you are starting off with a yellowish blonde base, try toning it with Iris to remove the yellow hues before going in with Smoke. Because of the purple tint, Smoke would show up as a greyish-purple on level 9 and 10 hair.

Mix bleaching cream with developer in a 1:1 ratio and apply on dry hair. Wash off in 30-60 minutes depending on your desired level of lightness.

Nope! Our semi-permanent dyes have no peroxide, no ammonia, no alcohols. They don't contain any lightening agents that lifting your natural colour, so there's no chemical process breaking anything down. It actually leaves the hair feeling softer after use. But we still recommend pairing it with Suck it Up Mask to keep that hydration locked in between colours.

Our dyes pop most on bleached hair, but some shades will still show on dark, unbleached hair under sunlight. Barbie and Riot give a red tint, and Gaia shows up as a dark green on black hair. On dark brown hair, Hey Tiger goes warm brown, Iris goes purple red, and Ocean goes green (all more visible in sunlight). Want something more obvious, or a shade not listed here? You'll need to bleach first, and Butter Bleach is a gentle at home option.

It also leaves a tint of colour on natural grey hair. We recommend shade Blackforest for the highest coverage!

Yes, our semi-permanent dyes don't contain any lightening agents so once your colour fades it will return back to its previous base colour. Do note that some slight staining may occur if your hair is bleached but you can dye over it once the colour has faded enough.

Pair our semi-permanent dyes with Suck it Up Hair Mask and What the Frizz Hair Serum Oil to prolong your hair colour. Refrain from using hot water and anti-dandruff shampoo when showering as that makes the colour fade faster too.

Yes the colour may bleed on wet hair so be sure to use a dark coloured towel and dry your hair after showering. The colour bleed stops after ~ 2 weeks.
