Description

Includes 1 tub of Ocean and varying tubs of Teddy (select according to your hair length)

* Do note that your hair has to be level 8 or lighter for this mixology. If your hair is level 6-7, you can get a darker version of this look using Teddy and more Ocean. This colour will not work on hair that's darker than level 5

To get the look, start with a base of Teddy and add in a tiny bit of Ocean until you see your desired colour. Adjust the amount of Ocean added depending on how teal you want your hair to be. Add less Ocean if you want a more brown result. Do a strand test before dyeing your whole head to ensure you like the colour.

For quick colour touch ups, you can prep 2 tubs of the same mixture and use the excess in the shower to help maintain your colour for longer!

Application

For the most vibrant results, start by bleaching your hair. 

  1. Apply to clean, dry hair (no developer needed)
  2. Leave on for 30–60 mins
  3. Rinse out and enjoy your new colour

Note: Colour bleeding is normal, especially in the first few washes, and may stain skin or surfaces so wear dark clothing and use dark towels when stepping out of the shower.

Butter Bleach professional salon results - at-home hair lightening

01. Butter Bleach

Mix bleaching cream with developer in a 1:1 ratio and apply on dry hair. Wash off in 30-60 minutes depending on your desired level of lightness.

02. Semi-Permanent Colour

Apply on dry hair and wash off after 30-60 minutes to add colour and hydration back to your locks

03. Suck It Up Colour Locking Mask

Use after shampooing 3-4 times a week to prolong hair colour and keep your hair nourished.

FAQ

Will Semi-Permanent Dyes damage my hair?

Nope! Our semi-permanent dyes have no peroxide, no ammonia, no alcohols. They don't contain any lightening agents that lifting your natural colour, so there's no chemical process breaking anything down. It actually leaves the hair feeling softer after use. But we still recommend pairing it with Suck it Up Mask to keep that hydration locked in between colours.
Can I use this on dark, unbleached or natural grey hair?

Our dyes pop most on bleached hair, but some shades will still show on dark, unbleached hair under sunlight. Barbie and Riot give a red tint, and Gaia shows up as a dark green on black hair. On dark brown hair, Hey Tiger goes warm brown, Iris goes purple red, and Ocean goes green (all more visible in sunlight). Want something more obvious, or a shade not listed here? You'll need to bleach first, and Butter Bleach is a gentle at home option.

It also leaves a tint of colour on natural grey hair. We recommend shade Blackforest for the highest coverage!
Will my hair go back to my original colour once the colour fades?

Yes, our semi-permanent dyes don't contain any lightening agents so once your colour fades it will return back to its previous base colour. Do note that some slight staining may occur if your hair is bleached but you can dye over it once the colour has faded enough.

How do I make my hair colour last longer?

Pair our semi-permanent dyes with Suck it Up Hair Mask and What the Frizz Hair Serum Oil to prolong your hair colour. Refrain from using hot water and anti-dandruff shampoo when showering as that makes the colour fade faster too.
Does the colour bleed?

Yes the colour may bleed on wet hair so be sure to use a dark coloured towel and dry your hair after showering. The colour bleed stops after ~ 2 weeks.
