YOUR RESULTS:

Flexi Colour Energy

Open to a little bleach or keeping it low-key? You’ve got options. On dark hair, these shades show up as a subtle tint — but a tiny lightening step can take your colour from “nice” to “noticeable”. Want to go full main character? Go a bit lighter with Butter Bleach.

VIBRANT, ASH OR PASTEL SHADES? YOU'LL NEED TO BLEACH FIRST

SUBTLE TINT OF COLOUR

On dark hair, semi-permanent colour shows up as a subtle tint because there isn’t enough contrast for the pigment to fully pop. Brighter, more vibrant shades are more likely to show up on a darker base compared to softer or pastel tones. For shade-specific results, refer to the individual product listings. If you want a more obvious, vibrant result — especially indoors — bleaching your hair first is recommended.

VISIBLY COLOURED

On a medium brown base, all Qwerky dyes will be visible. Brighter, more vibrant shades will show up as a vibrant tint, adding noticeable colour and dimension. Darker shades like 12AM and our ash tones (SMOKE, BRUISE, TEDDY) help darken and tone the hair, reducing warmth and brassiness.

If you’re aiming for a deeper result than your current base, you can also mix BLACKFOREST into brighter shades to darken the colour and create a more muted, subtle finish.

How much product should I get?
  • Above shoulders: 1 x 200ml Tubs / 1 set of Bleach
  • Shoulders to mid back: 2 × 200ml Tubs / 2 sets of Bleach
  • Waist: 3 x 200ml Tubs / 3 sets of Bleach

Pro tip: Get an extra tub/set if your hair is thick. Any excess products can be kept for future use anyway.

  • First-timers: Try the 100ml size to test the colour before committing to a bigger tub
What colour will my hair fade to?

Since our dyes don’t contain any lightening agents, your hair will gradually fade back to its original base colour. Do refer to the individual product listing images for the dye's fading processes on bleached hair.

I want the colour to be more vibrant, what should I do?

If you’re aiming for brighter colour, your hair needs to be lightened to a brown base first. You can do this at home with Butter Bleach, or get it lightened at a salon before dyeing. The lighter your base, the more the colour shows. Unsure if your hair is light enough? DM us — we got you.

Will my hair be very dry after bleaching / dyeing?

Bleaching may make your hair feel a little drier but Qwerky's Butter Bleach already combats that by adding a ton of nourishing oils to minimise bleach damage. As for the dyes don’t damage your hair at all. Think of them as a hair mask that also happens to give you colour. They hydrate your hair as you dye it, so it feels super smooth after. No harsh stuff here — no ammonia, alcohol, or peroxide, plus it’s plant-based.

How often can I touch up the colour?

As often as you want, honestly. Since our dyes are non-damaging, touching up is totally fine.
Just one thing — if you’re changing colours drastically (like red to green), let the old colour fade first so things don’t get weird.
Same colour touch-ups though? Go nuts.

How do I make the colour last longer?

Use Suck It Up Colour Locking Hair Mask and finish with What The Frizz Hair Oil. Try to avoid anti-dandruff or clarifying shampoos, and skip the hot water — heat makes colour fade quicker.
